For the convenience of our students, we host a dance wear shop on certain Saturdays in the year. We fit the uniforms on the students and supply all the attire they will need for class, examinations and performances.
Unfortunately, we are only able to accept cash payments, as we do not have any card facilities on the premises.
Please do not hesitate contacting our office for directions and a price list.
We offer dance classes in the following areas of the Northern suburbs:
To register for a class, kindly fill in the custom form and we will be in contact with you as soon as possible with the relevant information.
Jacqueline's Academy of Dance follow the policies, rules and regulations as stipulated by the RAD and the ISTD. Apart from those policies, rules and regulations, we have a set code of conduct that the teachers and staff of the Academy have to adhere to.
To view a breakdown of uniform requirements of different dance styles, please view the relevant Dance Styles tab on this website.
If a student is registered for more than one dance style, it is financially beneficial to the parent, as the second dance style is offered at a reduced cost.
When the second dance style is dropped, normal pricing will resume.
To drop a class you need to give one full months notice in advance. Notice will only be accepted in writing (handed in or emailed). No verbal or sms notice will be accepted.
Changing schools or holidays do not constitute in a reduction of monthly fees
To make payments towards the academy, please fill in the provided custom form. We will be in contact with you to provide you with our banking details.
Parents often get confused about emails and letters they receive from the office due to the grade indicated. To clarify - school grades and dance grades do not coincide. Please ensure that you know in what dance grade your child is. For example: A grade 1 pupil at school will most probably be in the pre-primary ballet, not Grade 1 ballet. This level of dancing is on par with the age and level of development of your child.
Many of our students excel in other areas as well, for instance school sports. Therefore dance times and sport times often tend to clash - especially during the winter months. We try to find a compromise with parents wherever it is possible. If your child has sport in their dancing time, please contact us to form an arrangement instead of allowing your child to miss class. There is always a plan to be made.
Injuries: If your child has been injured at school or sports, they still need to attend dance class. They will be allowed to sit down and observe the class, but it is important for them to still attend to avoid falling behind.
The Academy's office, Tiny Toes Dance Academy and Cape Academy of Dance is open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm. To contact the office, please fill in the provided form or alternatively, phone during office hours.
